This project aims to strengthen national capacities to prepare a dossier for ratification of the Minamata Convention, as well as to identify priority areas and activities for implementation.
Main activities:
- High-level briefings with decision-makers and presentation of the ratification dossier to parliament.
- Workshop with international experts on waste stabilization with mercury, to analyze the possibility of applying stabilization of waste from the chlorine-soda industry.
- Design and implementation of a pilot project for waste stabilization with mercury.
- Share lessons learned.
