According to Article 7 of the Stockholm Convention, each Party shall:<\/h4>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”2\/3″ column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]\n
    \n
  1. Develop and seek to implement a plan for compliance with its obligations under the Convention;<\/li>\n
  2. Transmit its implementation plan to the Conference of the Parties within two years of the date on which the Convention enters into force for it; and<\/li>\n
  3. Review and update, as appropriate, its implementation plan periodically and specifically by decision of the Conference of the Parties;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row][vc_row type=”in_container” full_screen_row_position=”middle” scene_position=”center” text_color=”dark” text_align=”left” overlay_strength=”0.3″ shape_divider_position=”bottom”][vc_column column_padding=”no-extra-padding” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”1\/6″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][\/vc_column][vc_column column_padding=”padding-3-percent” column_padding_position=”all” background_color_opacity=”1″ background_hover_color_opacity=”1″ column_shadow=”none” column_border_radius=”none” width=”2\/3″ tablet_text_alignment=”default” phone_text_alignment=”default” column_border_width=”none” column_border_style=”solid”][vc_column_text]A series of decisions<\/a>\u00a0of the\u00a0COP<\/a>\u00a0have instructed the Secretariat on how to assist Parties in the development of their NIPs, essentially through the development of NAPA documents\u00a0orientation<\/a>\u00a0.<\/p>\n

    Parties have expressed the need for assistance, in particular to obtain information on the presence of new POPs found in articles or widely used for industrial purposes.
